Jane Mansfield at a USO event in My Tho
She was our only USO entertainment the first year.
She did not entertain and was well over the hill.
We did get a laugh out of her though. She wanted to ride the boats. When she went down to the docks and got into one of the boats she asked what are those holes. Someone answered, those are bullet holes maam. She said could we get shot at where we are going? He replied, we could get shot right here maam. She said get me the hell out of here and left.
