Có con chim vành kuyên nhỏ, dáng trông thật hung dữ quá, gọi lại chửi ngay bố tiên sư chúng mày. Chim gặp bác chào mào 1 cước, chim gặp cô sơn ca bạt tai, chim gặp anh chích choè dùi cui, chim gặp chị sáo nâu 1 đập. Có con chim vành kuyên nhỏ, dáng trông thật hung dữ quá, đầu trọc cầm dao, cũng giống như chúng mình. Ừ nhỉ ^_^

My Tho

This is a view of My Tho City from the Tien Giang River. Around My Tho City have several bars or islands, and the day trippers from Ho Chi Minh City enjoy eco-tourism at fruits gardens.

This multipurpose inland canal is utilized for cultivating waterfowl, water transportation, irrigation water, and so on.

Very new bank protection work along the Bao Dinh River at the central of My Tho City. This work had been completed with in several months with the purpose of tourism and improvement of a local boat stop.

This is a sunset view at Thoi Son Isalnd belonges to Tien Giang Province. The periphery of My Tho City is one of the best location for sunset view because the sun sets over the river.

Chuong Duong Hotel is located at riverside of Tien River. My Tho City is about 70km far from the South China Sea but still be influenced by tidal movement, therefore a tree submerged in this picture emerge when ebb tide.

Tien Giang creates favourable conditions to attract investment

With a transparent mechanism and appropriate incentives, ensuring mutual benefits, industrial parks in the southern province of Tien Giang have created impression on and attraction to investors. This can be proved by the initial achievements in My Tho Industrial Park, the first IP of the province.

Construction of My Tho Industrial Park was officially launched in mid-September 1998 on an area of 79 hectares.

As it is the first industrial park being built in the province, local authorities were still at a loss as they did not have any experiences, let alone their shortage of capital. There was not an appropriate mechanism to attract investors. As a result, three years later the park attracted only two projects.

It was until October 2001 when the provincial People’s Committee issued Decision 45 on investment incentives and encouragement to My Tho IP that the park has created a strong attraction to investors.

Under Decision 45, administrative procedures have been streamlined remarkably to create the most conveniences in a short period of time for investors. Land rents were reduced and even abolished during the basic construction period.

Thus, since 2001, My Tho IP has attracted 19 more projects, bringing the total projects licensed to the park to 21 with a total registered investment capital of over US $87 million and VND 273 billion. These projects have leased 57.43 hectares, or 93% of land in the park.

On the basis of the achievements of the My Tho IP, in 2002 Tien Giang authorities decided to expand the 17-hectare Trung An Industrial Complex. So far, this complex has been fully-leased, attracting 12 projects with a total investment capital of US $3.45 million and VND 144 billion.

The My Tho IP has helped create more jobs for local people, increase export turnover and contribute more to the budget. My Tho IP’s industrial production value has kept increasing since 2001.

Last year, total industrial production value of businesses in My Tho IP and Trung An Industrial Complex reached nearly VND 800 billion, accounting for 37% of the province’s industrial production value and up over 25% against the same period of the previous year. Of this figure, US $15.22 million came from exports, nearly four times higher against 2003. These businesses contributed US $4.3 million and VND 8.5 billion to the budget and created 5,800 stable jobs for labourers.

Along with the efforts in creating a transparent mechanism, in 2004 Tien Giang authorities regularly organised meetings and conferences for businesses to meet provincial leaders and functional agencies to speak out their difficulties for solutions. Thus, businesses feel secured to pour more investments and expand production.

The Hung Vuong Company Ltd has poured VND 38 billion more for the second phase, bringing their total investment capital to VND 65 billion. Their processing capacity has been increased by 2.5 fold. The company has processed 5,000 tonnes of filet of tra fish for exports and created stable jobs for 500 workers.

The Badavina Company Ltd, the MSA-Nha Be Joint Venture both also increased investment capital.

After the success of My Tho IP and Trung An Industrial Complex, Tien Giang is currently building infrastructure facilities for another IP, the 204 hectare-Tan Huong IP.

The province also pays attention to train skilled workers in order to meet the demand for labour force of businesses. Currently, Tien Giang has a Provincial Vocational Training School and the newly-established Tien Giang University. Local authorities said they would build two more vocational training centres in Cai Lay district and Go Cong town to train workers.

With investment incentives and transparent mechanism, Tien Giang has created a favourable investment environment to attract investors.

My Tho Seafood Noodle

My Tho seafood noodles soup is different from Chinese one, Nam Vang, beef noodles and Hue style beef noodles soup, because it is used without herb or salad but with bean-sprouts, lemon, chili and soya sauce. The most important thing makes the fame of My Tho seafood noodles soup that so many people liked from 1960s is the rice flour for the noodles and the pot of boiled water with secret preparation of famous shop in My Tho: Phanh Ky, Nam Son, Tuyen Ky and generation recently. It is said that the most delicious noodles soup should be made by Go Cat rice (special food like Tau Huong from Dao market rice), this is the most famous rice growing area of My Phong village, a suburb of My Tho. And the rice in Go Cat can make the noodles, roll paper, luck cake with the fame for over 40 years. But the My Tho noodles soup is really delicious with dried noodles, put in boiled water, sour with onion-fried, cleaned water for look good.


The noodle soup better in boiled water, of course each shop has each secret. Basically, the sweet in water is from grilled cracked bone, meat and dried squid (cuticle fish) and some particular condiments and it was cooked for the taste of customers. People can not ignore the food while the cook open the pot of soup with rememberable smelling. There for, so may people eat My Tho noodles, even the noddle houses are printed in guidebooks. Previously, for a good look of noodles, they put a shrimp in disk but now for reasonable price also, they put a couple of small eggs or pieces of BBQ pork. My Tho noodles soup is a special food with traditional color of domestic people who love My Tho or love the friendly, sincere manner of people in the South Vietnam.

My Tho seafood noodles soup


Authentic recipe from Khmer Krom in *Mee Psar* (now known as My Tho)province, My Tho seafood noodle soup with shrimp, scallop, and crab is absolute delicious. *Mee* meaning noodle in Khmer and *Psar* meaning market in Khmer. Mee Psar Khmer named for noodle market that famous for the clear noodle and broth soup. Although there are many steps in making this noodle soup, but it is easy to prepare. Unfortunately, most Khmer Krom found the easier way to enjoy My Tho seafood noodles soup is by eating out at the restaurants or noodles stands. :) Ingredients :

* 8 Cups water
* 1 Package tapioca My Tho noodles
* 1 lb Chicken neck bones
* 1 lb Pork bones(option)
* 5 Small dried shrimp, soaked in warm water, drained
* 1 Small dried squid, soaked in warm water, drained
* 1 Whole yellow onion
* 2 Whole cloves garlic
* 1 Tablespoon preserved shredded cabbage, rinsed with cold water and drained
* 1 Whole star anise
* 12 Cups water
* 2 Tablespoons fish sauce
* 1 ½ Teaspoons salt
* 2 Tablespoons sugar
* ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
* 6 Cups water
* ½-1 lb Shrimp, shelled and de-veined
* ¼ lb Squid, cleaned and cut into bite sizes
* 1 Dungeon crab, or 4 Maryland, or 4 Blue crab
* ½ Cup all purpose flour
* 1 beaten egg
* ½ cup water
* ½ lb Small scallop, rinsed under cold water to removes sands, grounded(option)
* ¼ lb Small shrimp, shelled,de-veined and grounded
* 1 Stalk green onion, minced
* ½ Teaspoon salt
* ½ Teaspoon sugar
* ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
* ¼ Cup vegetable oil
* ¼ Cup chopped yellow onion
* 3 Cloves garlic, minced
* 1 Sweet yellow onion, sliced thin
* 3 Stalks green onion, chopped

# Procedures :
STEP 1: Put 8 cups water in a large soup pot, cook till water bubbling, add noodle to boiling water and cooked till it tender (do not over cook.) Pour cooked noodle in a colander, rinsed under cold water, drained and set a side.
STEP 2: In a large soup pot, put chicken bones, pork bones, dried shrimp, dried squid, yellow onion, garlic, preserved shredded cabbage and star anise together, add 12 cups water and cook till water bubbling (do not cover soup pot with lid). Turns cooking temperature to low and cook at least 2 hours. Removes bones and other ingredients from soup pot, keep only broth.
Seasoning with fish sauce, salt, sugar and black pepper, stirs well and keep broth simmering on the stove.
STEP 3 : Put 6 cups water in large pot cook till water bubbling, add shrimp boiling water and cook till shrimp turns darker color pink. Removes cooked shrimp from hot water, put it in a colander to drain and set a side.
Using same pot, add squid in boiling water, stirs and removes squid from hot water, put it in a colander to drain and set a side.
Using the same pot, add crab in boiling water, cooked for 15 minutes, removes crab from hot water, put it a colander to drain, when it cool off break off top crab shells, quartered crab body and put it in a plate, set a side.
STEP 4: In a small bowl, mix flour with egg and ½ cup water, mix well and set it a side.
In a large bowl, mix grounded scalloped with grounded shrimp, green onion, salt, sugar and black pepper together, mix well and makes small patties and set it a side.
Pre-heat a skillet or wok in high temperature.
When skillet is hot, dips shrimp and scalloped patties in flour batter and pan-fried each patty till both sides golden crispy, removes from hot oil, put it in a plate covered with paper towel to drain excessive oil and set a side.
STEP 5: Using the same skillet, add chopped yellow, stirs till onion caramelized. Add garlic, stirs till garlic turns brown(not burn). Turn off the heat, pour roasted onion and garlic in soup pot, stirs, turn up temperature to high when ready to serve.
TO SERVE:
Put some cooked noodles in a bowl, arranges shrimp, squid and a piece of crab on top noodles, add sliced sweet onion, green onion on top and pour hot soup broth over. Top with fried shrimp and fish patties and serve immediately with bean sprout, slices lime, and hot chili pepper. Most Khmer Krom prefers soup with chaway(fried bread).
